Mr. Boyd has been with MFM since 1991. He served as the company’s CEO from 2000 to 2022. He currently serves as Vice Chairman & Chief Investment Officer.

Aaron Boyd has been with MFM since 1999 and currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer. He has also served as a Director since January 1, 2015. Aaron earned his Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa and his MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. With decades of industry experience, he provides strategic leadership focused on the company’s continued growth and long-term success.

Kristie Van Pelt has been with MFM since 2012 and currently serves as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. She has also served as a Director since January 1, 2015. Kristie is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), bringing extensive financial leadership and strategic expertise to the organization.

Rita Stott has been with MFM since 1993 and currently serves as Senior Vice President of Claims and brings more than 30 years of insurance industry experience, all within the claims field. She works closely with the claims staff to ensure every claim is thoroughly investigated, properly evaluated, and resolved in accordance with the company’s contractual and legal obligations. Rita is committed to providing fair, prompt, and equitable resolutions for policyholders and claimants while maintaining the highest standards of service and professionalism.

Michael Carey has been with MFM since 1996 and currently serves as Vice President of Underwriting. With decades of experience in the insurance industry, his background in underwriting and claims management provides valuable insight into risk assessment and client service. Mike also brings extensive expertise in product development, helping support innovative insurance solutions tailored to client needs.

Michael Mullin has been with MFM since 2016 and currently serves as Vice President of Marketing. With more than 20 years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry, he brings extensive expertise in client relations, risk management, and insurance solutions. Michael has earned several distinguished professional designations, including CPCU, ARM, AU, and CIC, reflecting his commitment to industry knowledge and professional excellence.

Becky Szymczak has been with MFM since 2008 and currently serves as Corporate Secretary and Vice President of Compliance/Human Resources. As Corporate Secretary and Vice President of Compliance, she oversees compliance initiatives and contributes her expertise in human resources and organizational management to support MFM’s continued success.

Mr. O'Brien has served on the MFM Board of Directors since 2002 and also serves as Board Chairman. He received his law degree from Hamline University School of Law and an undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Minnesota. Bill is an attorney at a Minneapolis based law firm and provides legal expertise and corporate legal guidance.

Mr. Gray has served on the MFM Board of Directors since 2018 and also serves as a member of the Board's Audit Committee and is Chair of Fraud Investigations. He received his master's degree from Wichita State University in Administration of Justice and an undergraduate degree in education from the Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa. Nathan has worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation throughout his career.

Ms. Boyd has served on the MFM Board of Directors since 2011 and also serves as Assistant Secretary. Victoria retired from Qwest Communications as Vice President of Operations and provides expertise in operations, planning and marketing.

Mr. Johnson has served on the MFM Board of Directors since 2022 and also serves as a member of the Board's Audit Committee. He received his bachelor's degree from Bemidji State University and his MBA from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management. Tanner is an active CPA, held various roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and held finance leadership positions at various Fortune 500 companies. He is currently the Vice President of Global Finance Operations at a Fortune 500 company.
